Mission Statement
The Michigan State Section of
the American Water Resources Association is an organization of professionals
and lay persons which provides a common forum to exchange information and
ideas, to promote technological, social, economic and legislative advances,
and to collect and disseminate information an all aspects of water resources
research, management and education through publications, symposia, and other
media. It furthermore serves as a communication vehicle between
members and the public, and promotes cooperation with Federal, State, and
local agencies, private firms and other organizations concerned with water
resources.
The Michigan State Section of the
American Water Resources Association provides a forum for synergistic discussion and
professional development of people interested in Michigan's water resources. Current
issues are advanced for the protection, improvement, and wise use of water
resources. The Section represents broad, multidisciplinary water interests, and has
a membership which has diverse backgrounds from lay-person to professionals.
